The solder will melt and allow you to easily pull the component leg out of the PCB, at which point you then remove the needle.
Packing list includes
8X needles in a plastic enclosure for protection.
Needle sizes are 0.8, 1.0, 1.2, 1.4, 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0mm.
